Joining forces with students from 11 countries to create a model of "Sustainable Community" Driving innovation for a better planet and well-being
2 February 2026 at Innovation Playground, Suranaree University of Technology (MUTT) Continue to elevate the entrepreneurial ecosystem to the international level. The 6th SUT Global Entrepreneurship Camp 2026 (GEC 2026) was officially opened. Attracting representatives of Thai and international students from a total of 11 countries to brainstorm and create innovations under the concept of "Sustainable and Resilient Communities: Innovating for a Healthier Planet and People" encourages students, participants, and participants to learn. Engage and connect global citizenship Based on awareness of social problems, through learning the process of developing new business ideas/social innovations, practicing the skills of using international languages for communication and cross-cultural learning.
In this regard, it was honored by Associate Professor Dr. Sittichai Sangsun. Acting President of Suranaree University of Technology (MUTT) presided over the opening ceremony. Acting Head of the Entrepreneurship Development Institute for SEDA Students, MIT Lecturer Dr. Mallika Sangsanit The Head of the Center of Excellence for Entrepreneurship along with the management team welcomed and participated in the activity.
SUT Global Entrepreneurship Camp 2026 will be held from January 30 to February 9, 2026 in collaboration with the SEDA Student Entrepreneurship Development Institute, the Center for International Affairs, and the Center for Excellence in Entrepreneurship. (Center of Excellence for Entrepreneurship) The participants of the activity include: Thai and international students from 11 countries, including Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, and South Africa. Sweden, Turkey, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand. A total of 74 people participated in the exchange of learning and activities to explore entrepreneurship and innovation to connect the goals of sustainable development (SDGs) through various activities such as workshops, site visits, cultural exchanges. Dr. Natavikhom Panthuwongpakdee Deputy Director of the Center for Research and Support for the Sustainable Development Goals Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University (SDG Move) Problem Pith SDGs Contest of Ideas in the Dimensions of SDG 3 (Health and Well-Being), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 13 (Climate Change Response) and SDG 15 (Terrestrial Ecosystems) Experiential Learning: University visits and exposure to Thai arts and culture through "Muay Thai" to build relationships and dissolve behaviors at the international level.
The organization of this event is not limited to the University of Thailand. Aiming to build an international cooperation network. and push students to have a world-class entrepreneurial perspective. This will be an important driving force in creating a concrete "sustainable and resilient community" in the future.
